History

Compass Technology Group is an IT recruiting and staffing firm based in Dallas / Fort Worth. Our firm was founded by seasoned industry professionals and has continued to enjoy substantial growth since our founding in 2008. Our co-founders, Rebecca Zarski and Melinda Woodward, sought to leverage their experience at both small niche companies and multi-billion dollar enterprises and continue to incorporate the best of both worlds - the passion, flexibility, and innovation of a boutique firm, with the best practices that are more common at larger organizations.

Compass Technology Group, led by Rebecca Zarski and Melinda Woodward, has earned the Certified Women Owned Business designation. Certification validates that a business is at least 51 percent owned, operated, controlled and managed by a woman or women.

TechServe Alliance is the premier IT & engineering staffing association dedicated to advancing excellence and ethics within the IT & engineering staffing and solutions industry. Rebecca Zarski, Co-Founder/Managing Partner at Compass Technology Group, has served as the Dallas Chapter President of TechServe Alliance since January of 2018.

Meet the Team

Melinda Woodward

Co-Founder / Managing Partner

Melinda earned her B.A. in Spanish Literature from The University of Texas at Austin. She has been in DFW-based technology staffing since 1998. Melinda has been a member of Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO) Member since 2014 and was a Dallas Board Member from 2016 to 2018. When Melinda isn't at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband Andrew and her two sons.

Rebecca Zarski

Co-Founder / Managing Partner

Rebecca earned her B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Notre Dame She has been in DFW-based technology staffing since 2000. Rebecca is a National Board Member of TechServe Alliance and has been a Member of EO since 2014. Outside of the office, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her husband Chris, son and two daughters.
